Faithfulness

Faithfulness

Faithfulness is a form of commitment. It's when you've chosen something or someone to stand loyal toward no matter what the cost. You see, the commitment comes in to play whenever the doubt starts to appear. Even when you're tempted or what you see around you may look different than what you want it to be, your commitment to stay devoted overrules.

Being faithful is being fiercely for this person, craft, position, or faith. There is a firmness but not a stiffness in this approach. It is being the same to their face as you are when they aren't around. It is showing up because you've pledged yourself, almost attached yourself.

It is so important to be very mindful and take great care of who and what you will be faithful to. This should take great consideration because following comes great commitment. The core of your faithfulness is built around what you've built your faith on.

Faithfulness does not mean you are in support and agreement with poor decision-making. Faithfulness doesn't always even mean you stay. Faithfulness is keeping your heart right where it belongs. That no matter what you, in your energies, in your efforts, will be to make this thing, this person.

You see, you get a choice. Who will your faithfulness be to? Will it be to the greater good of union? Will it be to yourself? You get to decide. Decide well, my friends.

"The courage to be is rooted in the God who appears when God has disappeared in an anxiety of doubt." - Paul Tillich

Photo Story: Neuschwanstein Castle is located in Hohenschwangau, Germany. I visited in 2010 during a month-long European backpack extravaganza. During our tour, they shared much of the history behind the architecture and story-telling behind this masterpiece. I had to do a little researching to refresh my memory. King Ludwig II desired to reconstruct the castle of Hohenschwangau, willingly using his own funds to pursue this aspiration. This immaculate palace filled with utmost beauty was commissioned by Ludwig II who considered it to be an homage to Richard Wagner, a composer of the time. Many of the rooms depict various operas written by him. (Read more about this here.) It is surrounded by epic vistas, which is the area that Ludwig II grew up. The castle is also the inspiration behind the Disney castle. As soon as my little girl saw the photo, she said, "Look! It's Disney World."
